JIM CARLSON RE-ELECTED TO UBG BOARD
Jim Carlson,
General Manager of First Cooperative, Cherokee, Iowa and Vice
Chairman of the United Benefits Group Board of Directors was
re-elected to a five-year term in this year’s UBG director election
held on September 29, 2006. Each year, one position on the five-man
Board comes up for election. Ballots are cast by each of the Plan’s
450 Participating Employers on a proportional basis – one vote for
each active employee-participant.
As always, United
Benefits Group strives to have three excellent candidates for each
Board position, and this year was no different. The Board and Staff
of United Benefits Group would like to thank Bart Baker
General Manager of Shipman Elevator Co. (Shipman, Illinois) and
Rolly Svoboda, General Manager of Pro Cooperative (Gilmore City,
Iowa) for their willingness to serve as candidates in this year’s
election.
Also deserving
recognition are members of this year’s Nominating Committee
which included Ed Bosanko, Watonwan Farm Service Co., Truman,
Minnesota; Dave Christiansen, Mid-Kansas Co-op Association,
Moundridge, Kansas; and Ed Foster, All-Points Cooperative,
Gothenburg, Nebraska.
